Yay for Crochet and Macrame'

A trend for Spring/Summer 2011 is the revival of the 1970's.  It is most definitely seen in the color palette of earthy tones, taupes, browns, cremes, oranges, and whites.  Combine that color palette with old favorites of Crochet and Macrame' and you have a fresh look.

You may be wondering what the differences is exactly between Crochet and Macrame'. Macrame' is made from knotting fabric.  Think pot holders and wall hangings from the 1970's.  Crochet is made from looping of yarn with a single hooked needle.  They give a similar visual.

How can a French Cowgirl pull it off?

The Place for Lace

French Cowgirl is staying on top of the trends for Spring/Summer 2011, so you can look and feel current, fun and fantastic.  One of our favorite styles is LACE.  It's pretty, and fresh.  And it's for all ages.   Romantic, but not overly girly.  Sensual, but not suggestive.  Sophisticated, but not stuffy.

White and nudes are great choices.  We suggest pairing them with a cropped cardigan, funky ring and/or antique necklace, and wedges.  You'll be all set for Spring Break.  Wear it out for lunch with girlfriends, drinks at your favorite cafe, and your spring break get-away.  

Don't shy away from color and patterns.  Lace doesn't mean you have to be without personality.
